01 / PRACTICAL DETAILS

Appointments
& fees.

How do I arrange a visit?

New patients: use the clinic scheduler to see availability and request an appointment, then call 703-372-2646 to confirm. If you prefer, you can separately start new-patient registration online and create a portal username and password. Registration does not confirm a scheduler request. Returning patients: log in to the patient portal to request an appointment date and time.

Choose your appointment path
Does a scheduler request confirm my appointment?

No. New patients must speak with the clinic to confirm a requested appointment. The clinic will provide portal access for required forms. New patients may also start registration online and create a portal username and password; registration alone does not confirm a scheduler request. Returning patients should request appointment times through the portal.

What are the fees and insurance arrangements?

We’ve summarized selected fees from the clinic’s current website. Confirm your visit’s cost and coverage before scheduling.

What are the office hours?

Call the clinic for current office and holiday hours. We have not published a timetable because the source pages contained conflicting information.

Contact the clinic directly and ask about its current policy. This preview cannot cancel, change, or confirm an appointment.

Do I need a diagnosis or referral first?

Ask staff what is required for your situation. This preview does not make a diagnosis, establish eligibility, or state a referral requirement.

How should I prepare?

Bring your questions about symptoms, goals, previous care, and treatment options. Ask staff which records or test results to provide and how to send them through the patient system.

Can I change medication based on this website?

No. The information here is general education, not instructions for your treatment. Discuss changes with the clinician who manages your care.

Considering
complementary care.

Who offers acupuncture at EastWestMD?

Anna Kim, LAc and Shinyi Lee, LAc offer initial acupuncture/cupping visits in the clinic scheduler. Nevin has stepped away from regular clinical practice. Ask staff about the appropriate provider and current availability.

Is acupuncture effective for every condition?

Evidence and individual responses vary. It is not a guaranteed cure. Use the learning resources to understand the evidence, then discuss realistic goals with your clinician.

Are herbs always safe because they are natural?

No. Herbal products can have risks and interact with medicines. Tell your clinician about all medicines and supplements before considering a product.
